Since 2004, Gaston Family Health Service has licensed and staffed a full pharmacy at its Hudson Boulevard location. By taking advantage of the Federal Drug Pricing Program to purchase discounted medications, GFHS is able to maintain a formulary of the most basic, low-cost, and effective medications available. Patients receive these medications at 75% of the actual cost, with a $6 minimum charge.

Since November 2004, Gaston Family Health Services has partnered with Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company to implement a local Share the Care Program, a prescription program made available to community healthcare centers like Gaston Family Health Services and its patients. The Pfizer Foundation supplies GFHS with a limited variety of medications that aid in the treatment of common ailments associated with a primary care clinic. When one of these prescriptive drugs is prescribed, a patient who meets the financial qualifications of the program can receive these medications at a discount.
